How SearchFindr Works

We plug into your existing search, take your thesis seriously, and use AI to surface scored, off-market SMBs that you can actually pursue.

Step 1
Share your investment thesis

You tell us what you’re searching for: industries, revenue and EBITDA bands, geography, buyer constraints, and any hard no-go areas. We use this to calibrate our sourcing engine around your actual mandate.

Step 2
We research, filter, and score companies

Our system combines data gathering and AI analysis to identify owners, estimate size, evaluate succession risk, and score each company across ETA-specific dimensions like industry fit, geography fit, and acquisition complexity.

Step 3
You receive weekly, scored company drops

We send you standardized company sheets on a recurring schedule, so you can focus on evaluating and running a tight outreach process— not doing first-pass research.

End result: instead of chasing raw lists, you get a curated pipeline of off-market SMBs with clear owner context, consistent scoring, and concrete next steps for outreach.
What you can expect
We’re not a lead blast service or a generic data provider. The focus is on:
  • Thesis-aligned companies, not massive, noisy lists
  • Owner context and sellability triggers where supportable
  • Structured notes you can actually hand to a principal or partner
How we fit into your search
Most users layer SearchFindr alongside:
  • Brokered and intermediary deal flow
  • Self-driven outreach and networking
  • Banker or advisor relationships
The goal is a more robust pipeline—without hiring and managing analysts or interns.
How it works, in practice
How customized is the output to my thesis?
Very. We calibrate around your industries, size ranges, target regions, and any structural preferences (roll-ups, platforms, add-ons, recurring revenue, etc.). If your thesis evolves, we adjust with you.
What does “scored” actually mean?
Each company is evaluated on succession risk, industry fit, geography fit, and acquisition complexity, then assigned an overall tier (A/B/C). That lets you prioritize outreach instead of reviewing everything from scratch.
Do you contact owners on our behalf?
In the beta, SearchFindr focuses on research and scoring—not outbound execution. You retain control of outreach, messaging, and relationship-building with owners.
How often will I receive companies?
We typically deliver on a weekly cadence tuned to your volume and quality preferences. The emphasis is on a steady, reviewable funnel—not overwhelming you with noise.
